Countdown to Tip-Off | 40 Days

The Thunder has absolutely destroyed a number of different opponents in its short history in Oklahoma City, but the latest thrashing came last season on December 19, 2015 in OKC against the Lakers. The Thunder won handily 118-78 as seven different players scored in double digits. The team shot 55% from the field, which included an amazing 47% from behind the arc.

The 40-point drubbing was the largest margin of victory for the season for OKC and the first victory of that magnitude in three seasons. Russell Westbrook and Enes Kanter both had double-doubles, and no starter played over thirty minutes.

Although Oklahoma City’s chances of dominating opponents at that level are not necessarily quite as high as in recent seasons, it would come as no surprise to see Russ and Co. run through some teams to show they’re perfectly capable of competing with the departure of a certain player.
