It’s been a good couple of days for the Oklahoma Sooners recruiting along the defensive line. Yesterday it was Tyreece Lott and now today its 3-Star Troy James 6-4/270 from Baton Rouge, LA.
James has long held an OU offer, but committed to Arkansas without taking a visit to Norman. Sooners defensive line coach Calvin Thibodeaux continued to pursue James and his hard work paid off. Troy James took a mid-week visit to the Sooners this week before tweeting out his de-commitment from Arkansas with the following tweet.

With that tweet the Sooners had to know they were sitting in the driver’s seat, but you never know till you know. Well now they know as James tweeted the following just a few moments ago.

Troy James gives the Sooners 26 commits for the class of 2016. I don’t believe they are finished as they will look to add quite possibly 2 additional players as we wind down to National Signing Day.
