OKC Thunder Countdown to Tip-Off | 26 Days

Oklahoma City is set to start their 10th training camp next week on September 26th. It’s been quite the ride over the last 10 years for the Thunder. So many improvements have been made in the last 10 years. Oklahoma City was made into a national brand when the Thunder arrived in 2008.

The organization has seen plenty of ups and downs. Whether it was the departure of James Harden, or the 4th of July shenanigans, the Thunder made the right moves to stay in title contention for a majority of their time in OKC.

Not many teams can say they’ve been in a position to win year in and year out. Oklahoma City was blessed with some outstanding draft picks. It seems like every time a key guy has left, the organization brings in another one. The Thunder organization has always been on the move to make improvements.

The Thunder brought in Paul George via trade earlier this summer to make a run for a ring, and this morning they landed Carmelo Anthony as well. Carmelo Anthony will be in OKC for the first day of camp on Tuesday. The addition of Carmelo brings even more scoring to this loaded OKC offense. The Thunder will now have three different guys who can score from anywhere on the floor in isolation.
