Oklahoma Offers UCLA Commit Abdul-Malik McClain

San Juan Capistrano, California prospect Abdul-Malik McClain has been committed to UCLA since July 31st. That certainly hasn’t stopped teams from continuing to pursue the 4-star defensive end from J Serra Catholic High School.

Already holding offers from thirteen different schools, the Oklahoma Sooners are the latest to get in on the 6-4/230 prospect from the class of 2018. Among the programs already putting scholarships on the table are USC, Louisville, Notre Dame, UCLA, and Washington.

The Sooners currently have nine defensive ends on the roster with D.J. Ward being the only senior. Led by former four-star prospect Amani Bledsoe, Oklahoma has five sophomore defensive ends currently on the roster and three freshmen. OU currently have three verbal commitments at the position for 2018, highlighted by 4-star prospects Jalen Redmond (Midwest City, OK) and Ron Tatum (Putnam City, OK).

247Sports currently has McClain as the nation’s 16th ranked defensive end for the class of 2018, and the 34th ranked prospect from the state of California.
