The Oklahoma Sooners found themselves trailing after the first quarter of play against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. With a total of 34 points scored in the opening fifteen minutes, the homecoming crowd remained excited and tuned in to the game. However, a few adjustments produced a run away win. Looking back at the game, two players shined above the rest.

Earning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, Rodney Anderson continues to progress. Rushing for 181 yards and a single score, the running back paved the way for others to score time and time again. Racking up 328 yards over the past two games, Anderson has helped Oklahoma fans nearly forget about the duo of Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon.
Joining his teammate on the Big 12 Weekly Award list, Ceedee Lamb was labeled the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week. As a true freshman, Lamb recorded nine catches for 147 yards and two touchdowns. The effort on the field broke a freshman record at the University of Oklahoma. Crushing the single game receiving yard mark, the freshman’s two scores pushed Lamb to eight on the season.
