Sooners Offer 4-Star 2020 Defensive End

You know it’s been a good week for your recruiting when Alabama and Oklahoma offer you a scholarship just days apart. That’s the life of Lake Forest, Illinois defensive end Rylie Mills right now.

On Tuesday the 6-5/265, 4-star prospect was offered a scholarship by the Crimson Tide and on Wednesday the Oklahoma Sooners came through with one as well.

Oklahoma and Alabama represent two of the eighteen offers the class of 2020 prospect currently holds. Teams like Notre Dame, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Tennessee are also in the mix for Mills’ services.

Rated as a 4-star prospect by 247Sports, the recruiting site also has him as the nation’s 10th best strong-side defensive end prospect and the 2nd overall prospect from the state of Illinois.

The Sooners currently have 11 defensive ends on their roster and one committed for the class of 2019. Oklahoma’s 2020 class only holds three commitments at this time and they are all on the offensive side of the ball.

    1. Kid would be a great “get” for Oklahoma’s defense. His recruiting is just now starting to take off so it’s probably good the Sooners are in early.
