A day after announcing the All-Defense teams, the NBA has just announced their All-NBA teams. Unlike yesterday, where it would be easy to argue that the Thunder was snubbed on selections, two members from Oklahoma City were included.
After finishing up his second consecutive season averaging a triple-double, Russell Westbrook failed to make First Team All-NBA after being selected the last two seasons. Lebron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and James Harden of the Houston Rockets were unanimous selections to the First Team to go along with Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans), Kevin Durant (Golden State Warriors), and Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers).
Russell Westbrook, making his fifth appearance to the Second Team, is joined by LaMarcus Aldridge (San Antonio Spurs), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), DeMar DeRozan (Toronto Raptors), and Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers).

Thunder newcomer Paul George was selected to the Third Team All-NBA for the fourth time in his career along with Jimmy Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns (Minnesota Timberwolves), Victor Oladipo (Indiana Pacers), and Steph Curry (Golden State Warriors).

Steven Adams also received a couple of votes.
I guess averaging a triple-double over the course of the season has gotten old. Shameful that Russ wasn’t first team.
Damian Lillard had a solid season, but I’m not sure it warranted finishing above Russ.
I think, to a person, everyone outside of the Pacific NW would take Russ over Lillard if given the choice.
