Sooners Make The Playoff, Will Face Alabama In The Orange Bowl

Avenging their only loss of the season and having one of the most prolific offenses in college football has propelled Oklahoma into the College Football Playoff. There were multiple signs, and even some chants, from Oklahoma fans at Saturday’s Big 12 championship game stating, “We want Bama!” Well, they got what they wanted.

Oklahoma, the #4 seed, will play the defending national champions, and top overall seed, in the Orange Bowl on Saturday December, 29th.

Selection committee chairman Rob Mullens said that the difference for Oklahoma was being a one-loss team that won a conference championship and avenged its only loss.

There’s certainly a lot to breakdown in this matchup, and we’ll get to it on later posts, but the immediate reaction is Kyler Murray vs. Tua Tagovailoa in what is certain to be an epic offensive battle.
