Oklahoma’s 2023 recruiting class grew by one over the weekend with the addition of Taylor Heim who is set to sign his LOI on Wednesday. A “jack of all trades” type player, Heim literally did everything to help lead Bethany (OK) to a 9-2 record and a state playoff berth. Making plays from multiple positions, on both sides of the ball, he recorded 65 tackles and six INTs on defense. He also threw for 838 yards, 11 TDs, while rushing for 608 yards and six TDs on a 6.8 yards per carry average. As if that weren’t enough he added 243 receiving yards, and four more touchdowns, on 19 receptions.
Heim (6-4/190) scored touchdowns this season running, passing, and off of interceptions, further proving that he’s a Swiss Amy Knife of a player. Rated as the No. 15 player from the state of Oklahoma, he was recruited to OU by Ted Roof which may indicate that his future is on the defensive side of the ball. He becomes the 26th member of Oklahoma’s 2023 class which now has the nation’s 4th highest composite ranking by 247Sports, just edging out Ohio State.
