To say that Samaje Perine came out of nowhere would be a wee bit of a fabrication. The 5-10/235 bowling ball of a running back was a 4-star recruit coming out of Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Texas. He was the #23 player in the state of Texas who had offers from the likes of Alabama, Nebraska, TCU and Tennessee. Rivals even had him listed as the nations’s 13th best running back recruit. So big things should have been expected from this kid and he’s more than delivered.
