Oklahoma State’s Mason Rudolph has everything a coach would want in a quarterback. He’s confident and level-headed. He has a cannon for an arm, and accuracy to go with it. At 6-5/235 he’s got the size coaches look for. However, the best thing that Mason Rudolph has going for him is that he gets to be the trigger man in an offense that likes to sling the ball all over the field. Tulsa junior running back D’Angelo Brewer led the team in rushing last season with 837 yards, six touchdowns and a 5.2 yards per carry average. A two-year letterwinner and returning starter, Brewer has played in 23 of 25 games since arriving on campus and is close to 1,000 career yards, with an average of 4.8 yards per carry, through two seasons.

2016 Oklahoma State Football Opponent First Look |Southeastern Louisiana Lions

The name of the game for Oklahoma State on Saturday is to get out healthy. The Cowboys want to shake off some rust, see if they can get their rushing attack on track (113th nationally in 2015) and get a good look at some of the newcomers in game action. There will be no challenge on the scoreboard as OSU brings in 19 returning starters from a team that went to the Sugar Bowl in 2015. This game is a tune-up for their tune-up against Central Michigan next week.
