Oklahoma Football Scouting Report | Texas Longhorns

As the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns prepare to face each other for the 111th time in their storied rivalry, the equal 2-2 records don’t mean that the game will be any less epic. Oklahoma has won four of the last six meetings, but since 2012 the two teams have alternated wins with the Sooners taking the Golden Hat Trophy back to Norman on the even number years.

Oklahoma did exactly what they needed to do in Ft. Worth on Saturday but they didn’t exactly do it the way they needed to. While you have to be excited about the win you’d also be irresponsible if you didn’t point out lingering defensive woes and turnovers on offense. Turnovers aren’t just drive killers, they are potential game killers. There’s a specific reason why you want to force turnovers and not commit them.

Big 12 Football Week Five Recap | The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

Big 12 Conference play was in full swing over the weekend and while it’s still very early there are a few things starting to shape up. Baylor and West Virginia remain the only undefeated teams but it certainly didn’t come easy. Oklahoma won the battle of the preseason favorites in Ft. Worth and Oklahoma State dialed up the pressure on Charlie Strong with a thrashing of the Longhorns in Stillwater.
