The Oklahoma Sooners had an unprecedented season in 2018 and in doing so earned a ton of recognition. Four days after completing a Bedlam sweep that allowed OU to finish conference play with a perfect 18-0 record, the Sooners filled four of the five spots for yearly conference awards and placed eight nominees on for all-conference.

That’s Oklahoma combined runs scored to runs allowed in their opening Big 12 series against Texas Tech and Baylor. The numbers tell you that this team is equally as dangerous offensively as they are defensively.

Sooners Power Past Gamecocks Off Pendley’s Grand Slam

Nicole Pendley crushed a grand slam home run in the bottom of the first inning and then let Paige Parker and Paige Lowary do what they do best. They two senior pitchers combined to strike out twelve batters in route to a 4-2 victory over #17 South Carolina.

Oklahoma Blanks SFU As Parker Picks Up 100th Win

The Sooners made quick work of Saint Francis on Wednesday night as senior pitcher Paige Parker continued to solidify her place in Oklahoma Softball history. Parker allowed just one hit on the night, and struck out 12 SFU batters, in an 8-0 run-rule victory that only lasted five innings.

Top-Ranked Oklahoma Continues To Dominate In The Desert

If Mariah Lopez was seeking redemption on Saturday then she found it in a big way. The Sooners also found their bats in producing their strongest offensive performance of their first four games.  The end result was another two-game sweep in the GCU Kickoff Tournament in Phoenix, Arizona.
