Countdown to Tip-Off | 42 Days

The Thunder picked up their 42nd win of the season last year against the Sacramento Kings by a score of 131-116. The game took place in Sacramento on February 29th. Coming into this win the Thunder were struggling both offensively and defensively in recent games. Oklahoma City had lost four out of its previous five games. They would go on to lose the next two in a row before going on an eight game win streak.

In just 48 days we will be watching Thunder basketball again. Is there anything better than watching number 0 slash and dash his way from coast to coast for a monster dunk? It has been 99 days since the Thunder last played a basketball game. The good news is that wait is coming to an end. We are only 50 days away from watching Oklahoma City back in action against the 76ers on October 26th. The game will take place in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center. It is set for an 8PM ET tip off and will be broadcasted on ESPN.

Mitch McGary Suspended For First Five Games Of NBA Season

Oklahoma City is still waiting on their 2014 first round draft pick to pay significant dividends and now they will have to wait just a little bit longer. On the same day that Mitch McGary wrapped up a strong performance in Orlando, at the Thunder’s summer league, the NBA announced that the OKC forward would face a five-game suspension due to a failed drug test.
