With elimination on the line for Arkansas it was reasonable to think they would play the Sooners a little tighter on Saturday. That’s exactly what they did, at least early on.
Arkansas coach Courtney Deifel decided to go with sophomore Autumn Storms in the circle, after freshman Mary Haff was rocked in Friday’s Super Regional opener. Oklahoma jumped on Storms in the first inning, plating two runs, giving the appearance that Saturday would bring more of the same regardless of who the pitcher was.
