It’s never a bad day when you land a 4-star running back who is simply running over all of his competition in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The Sooners have done […]

Oklahoma 52 – TCU 46 | Notes & Quotes

“I saw a lot of fight back. We did come in with a lot of guys who didn’t even make the trip. I saw guys just fight and continue to work. This team has fight and character, and we need to do a lot of fundamental things better. I believe as we go through we will keep getting better from it. I don’t like the fact that we didn’t make some of the plays in the end, but we built the lead. It shows that we are capable and now we’ve got to add to it with more consistency.”

Oklahoma 52 – TCU 46 | Rapid Recap

Oklahoma was terrible in the first and fourth quarters but they showed flashes of dominance in the second and third quarters. The result was a stressful 52-46 victory over TCU that not only evened their season record to 2-2 but put the Sooners on the right track in their pursuit of another Big 12 championship.

Ohio State 45 – Oklahoma 21 | Position Grades

It isn’t often that you see a team line up against Oklahoma with such a huge in advantage in talent. Not just at one or two positions but pretty much across the board. It’s also not often that you see a team be able to repeatedly attack a weakness against the Sooners as what Ohio State did on Saturday night. In my opinion OU’s drop from the College Football Playoff hunt is a direct result of two positions not performing at an elite lever, and I’m not certain that there’s hope for one of them.

Oklahoma Sooners 59 – Louisiana-Monroe 17 | Offensive Position Grades

Oklahoma’s starting offense pretty much did what they were expected to Saturday night against Louisiana-Monroe. The Sooners produced 59 points and 640 yards of total offense. Again, it’s what they were supposed to do and you really can’t fault them for doing so against a defense that was out of their league in more ways than one.

Oklahoma vs. Houston | Offensive Position Grades & The Cause Of The Offensive Stall

Oklahoma returned home from Houston with an 0-1 record and a whole lot of work still to do. Among the things that the Sooners must figure out is what happened to the offense and how to prevent it from happening again. The problem isn’t difficult to diagnose but the symptoms could be a bit misleading. Those symptoms, 5 sacks and a disappearing passing attack, resulted in OU’s offensive stall and ultimately the loss.

Oklahoma Football Keys To Success In Houston

Let’s be honest here. The Sooners haven’t been stellar in season openers away from Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. That’s not necessarily an indicator that things will go south in Houston on Saturday though. Oklahoma returns its most talent laden team since Sam Bradford led the boys out of the tunnel in Jerry World back in 2009. OK, perhaps that’s a bad example. However, expectations were high back in `09 and they’ll remain every bit as high when OU takes the field at NRG Stadium this morning as well.

Saturday was “Meet the Sooners Day” in Norman as players and coaches mingled with fans in the morning before sitting down with the media for the first official press conference of the season. 2016 Oklahoma Sooners Football Countdown To Kickoff | 30 Days!

Oklahoma’s closest call at home in 2015 came against TCU on November 21st. A hobbled Samaje Perine and a concussed Baker Mayfield resulted in a 23-7 OU lead at the half turning into 1-point nail biter in the final seconds.
