After nine weeks, the College Football Playoff Rankings have finally arrived. Clearly body of work matters. Failing to take the top spot, the undefeated Alabama Crimson Tide have a single win over an opponent with a winning record. Strength of schedule gives way to the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs and it’s easy to see why.

Rounding out the top four are Notre Dame as well as Clemson. However, the biggest surprise of the evening may belong to the Oklahoma Sooners. Dropping in at No. 5 the Sooners are knocking on the door of the college football playoff for the second time.
If it wasn’t certain, it is now that head-to-head matchups matter. It’s the reason the Ohio State Buckeyes come in just behind Oklahoma.
