Continuing to surround himself with young but promising coaches, Lincoln Riley is expected to add another new face — this one on the defensive side of the ball. Several sources have confirmed that the man filling the vacancy with the Oklahoma Sooners is Jamar Cain. Previously accountable for the defensive line with another program, Cain assume the responsibility for outside linebackers in Norman.

A top notch recruiter, Cain remained the lead contact in pursuit of top prospects out of Northern California. Successfully signing those recruiting to letters of intent with Arizona State, the recruiting ability of Cain hasn’t gone unnoticed. Easily a top five recruiter in the PAC-12 despite one year of experience, the Sooners are hoping o utilize those connections and the personality of Cain in the future.
While fans await a formal announcement, it appears as though the coaching staff for the upcoming season is complete. Salaries have yet to be divulged to the public, but excitement continues to stir around the university. Are these the names that will lead Oklahoma over the hump? We shall see…
