The Oklahoma State Cowboys suffered an upset last week as they dropped a 24-21 defensive battles in Ames to the Iowa State Cyclones. The game ended with a little bit of controversy, but nevertheless, the season goes on, and the goal remains the same: make it to the Big 12 Championship Game.

With just 1 conference loss, the Cowboys’ path to to the Big 12 Championship is as simple as winning out, and despite no real gimmes left on the schedule, today they go head-to-head with the weakest team in the conference, the Kansas Jayhawks.

Kansas is just 1-6 on the season, but they put up a respectable fight against the Oklahoma Sooners last weekend, even leading Oklahoma for much of the game. The Sooners proved to be too much, though, and the Jayhawks fell apart at the end to go down 35-23.

Today’s focus should be simple for the Cowboys: take care of the ball on offense and make the right play on defense. This game should be a good rebound for Oklahoma State, and as long as they play smart and take care of the ball, they should come away with an easy win.
