The Oklahoma City Thunder managed to go 2-2 on their 4-game road trip, and one of those two wins was against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. The two teams meet for a rematch on Monday night at the Paycom Center.
For just the third time all season, the Thunder is favored against an opponent, and with the way Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been playing lately, it only makes sense. Shai is not only looking like an NBA All-Star, but perhaps he should be more closely looked at as a dark horse to win MVP.
OKC is dealing with a few injuries, including no Aleksej Pokusevski (sprained left ankle), who has worked his way into a consistent role as a starter. When these two teams met 8 days ago, the Thunder pulled off a 145-135 victory over the Knicks. OKC plays three times at home in the next five days, so Thunder fans have several opportunities to see the young squad in action.
