Tuning In

All games will be broadcast within the ESPN family and the OU games can also be heard via 107.7 The Franchise in Oklahoma or nationwide on The Varsity Network app with Chris Plank on the call.

What We Learned Last Weekend

Oklahoma is a complete team! The Sooners used pitching, power and timely hitting, and aggressive base running to sweep its way through the Big 12 Tournament. This may be the most complete team that Patty Gasso has had in Norman in quite a long time.

Notes & Storylines

Against The Field

Hofstra | The Sooners and Pride have met twice in the history of the two programs, splitting the pair of games for a 1-1
series record. The matchups came 23 years apart, in 1996—a 1-0 Hofstra win in Columbus, Ga. and 2019—17-3 [5 inn.] OU win in
Clearwater, Fla.

Missouri | OU holds a 54-41 advantage over Mizzou. The Tigers hold the series lead over the Sooners in Norman 20-18. The teams have met twice in the postseason, splitting the contests. In 2011, Mizzou knocked OU out of the 2011 WCWS with a 4-1 win. Most recently, OU evened the postseason score with a 7-0 win in the 2018 Norman Regional final.

California (33-19-1) | The two OU home games vs. Cal came 42 years ago in March 1981, a 2-1 OU win and 1-0 Cal victory. Most recently, OU beat the Golden Bears 8-0 in five innings at last season’s Rainbow Wahine Classic in Honolulu. The teams most recent meeting in the postseason was at the 2012 WCWS, a 3-0 Sooner victory en route to the program’s second WCWS Championship Series appearance.
