Oklahoma Takes Down Kansas 6-1 in Series Opener – Extends Lead In Conference Standings

The Oklahoma Sooners extended their winning streak to 14 games and remained undefeated in conference play with a convincing 6-1 victory over the No. 24 Kansas Jayhawks (22-9-1, 7-2 Big 12) in the opening game of their three-game series in Lawrence. Jayda Coleman (2-for-3, BB, R) reached base three times out of the leadoff spot and joined Kasidi Pickering in the multi-hit game department while also extending her on-base streak to 20 consecutive games. From the pitching circle it was the “Kelly Maxwell Show” as Oklahoma’s ace dominated the Jayhawk lineup.
