2024 Heartland Sports SEC Power Rankings: Week 12

Advertisements

We’ve got eleven teams in new places this week, including a new #1. We’re nearly at an even split for the top spot, and we don’t have complete agreement among any of the sixteen rankings. The five teams that remain in the same spot as last week are ironically the bottom five teams.

Make sure to check out our individual rankings below.

Caleb

1. Texas | Texas but a beat down on Florida, and will have an easy next 2 weeks.

2. Tennessee | Tennessee continued to look good this week against Mississippi st.

3. Ole Miss | Ole miss probably had the most impressive win of the week. They had a rocky start but had an impressive bounce back to close the game.

Craig

1. Texas | The Longhorns have looked inconsistent at times, but when they’re good they’re really good. A dominant win over Florida was exactly what they needed as they look to close out the season.

2. Tennessee | Tennessee took care of business this week. The bad news is that they have to play Georgia next.

3. Ole Miss | Georgia was no problem at all for Ole Miss. Ole Miss even spotted them a touchdown to start the game. Lane Kiffin and his crew showed their season is far from over.

4. Alabama

16. Mississippi State | Mississippi State has Missouri and Ole Miss remaining on their schedule. It’s very likely they finish 0-8 in conference play.

Matt

1. Tennessee | The defense has been a constant all year, but the Volunteers have been trying to get their offense back to where it was at the start of the season.

2. Ole Miss | The Rebels are on track for a College Football Playoff berth after dismantling Georgia last week.

3. Texas | After allowing 11 sacks in the previous two games, the offensive line protected Quinn Ewers well most of the game against Florida last week. He’s extremely dangerous when he has time in the pocket.

5. Alabama

6. Missouri

7. Georgia

8. Texas A&M

9. LSU

10. Arkansas

16. Kentucky | Idle

Zack

1. Tennessee | An easy win against Mississippi State moves the Vols up to the top spot after Georgia’s loss to Ole Miss. Now they need to beat Georgia themselves.

2. Texas | The Longhorns are playing like the best team in the country right now, and they have what should be a pretty easy matchup with Arkansas this weekend.

3. Ole Miss | Beating Georgia launches the Rebels into my top 3.

4. Alabama

5. Georgia

6. Texas A&M

7. South Carolina

8. LSU

9. Vanderbilt

10. Missouri

11. Oklahoma

12. Arkansas

15. Kentucky | No game, no movement.

16. Mississippi State | Well, the Bulldogs lose again. This is just their fate.
