After four straight weeks of at least one staff member turning in a perfect 3–0 record, the Friday Locks crew has built a quiet little streak of excellence. Unfortunately, Week 10 wasn’t our strongest collective effort — we followed our best weekend of the season in Week 9 with a modest 5–7 overall showing last week. Still, with confidence renewed and plenty of intriguing matchups on tap, we’re back at it for Week 11, aiming to reclaim that midseason magic and maybe — just maybe — make it five straight weeks with someone running the table.
This week’s slate gives us several consensus picks, something we haven’t seen in a while. Texas A&M (-6.5) over Missouri is a staff favorite, with Caleb, Craig, and Zack all backing the Aggies to stay hot against a banged-up Tigers squad. There’s also heavy action on Oregon (-6) at Iowa, as Craig and Zack believe the Ducks’ tempo and explosiveness will prove too much for the Hawkeyes’ defense — though Caleb sees it differently, riding with Iowa to cover. Meanwhile, Matt and Craig are both siding with Georgia to roll past Mississippi State, and Caleb and Zack are aligned on Vanderbilt (-6.5) rebounding at home against Auburn. A little overlap, a few split opinions, and a lot on the line — that’s how we like it.
Who keeps the perfect streak alive this week? Let’s dive into the Week 11 Friday Locks.
2025 Season Results
| Name | Last Week | Overall |
| Zack | 1-2 | 17-15-1 |
| Matt | 3-0 | 16-17 |
| Craig | 0-3 | 15-16-2 |
| Caleb | 1-2 | 12-21 |
Caleb
Texas A&M (-6.5) vs Missouri – Texas A&M looks like the best team in the country, and with Missouri down their starting QB A&M should be able to handle business.
Vanderbilt (-6.5) vs Auburn – Vanderbilt has played really good this season, and after a disappointing weekend vs Texas I expect Vandy to bounce back in a big way against a bad Auburn team.
Iowa (+6.5) vs Oregon – Iowa is a strong defensive lead team. While they might not be able to win outright I like their odds to keep this game close.
Craig
Georgia (-8.5) at Mississippi State – Mississippi State has kept a few games close that they had no business being in. But, this won’t be one of them. Georgia will win this one by a lot.
Oregon (-6) at Iowa -| The Oregon offense will be too good and too fast for Iowa to keep up with. Despite being on the road the Ducks cover this spread.
Texas A&M (-6.5) at Missouri – This one comes down to the Aggies simply being the better team. Missouri has lost their two games by a combined 10 points. That being said, I think Texas A&M wins this one by at least a touchdown.
Matt
USC (-14.5) vs. Northwestern – USC’s advantage in offensive firepower, especially at home, should be enough to pull away. I expect the Wildcats’ defense to keep it competitive for a while, but the Trojans will find enough rhythm to score multiple times in the second half.
Indiana (-14.5) at Penn State – Indiana enters this game undefeated, boasting the nation’s No. 1 scoring offense and a top-five defense. While playing at Beaver Stadium always provides a boost for the Nittany Lions, the talent and consistency gap this season is significant.
Georgia (-9.5) at Mississippi State – Mississippi State has struggled in the SEC but is coming off its first conference win. They are 8-1 against the spread this season, often outperforming expectations. However, Georgia’s defense is still elite, and their offense should be able to control the line of scrimmage, especially against a Mississippi State run defense that has shown vulnerabilities.
Zack
Oregon (-6) at Iowa | Aside from a close loss to Indiana, Iowa hasn’t had a tough schedule. Oregon hasn’t either, but the Ducks have a pretty powerful offense, and I think that’s going to make the difference.
Texas A&M (-6.5) at Missouri | Missouri has played close in their losses, but I don’t think even home field advantage will be enough to give them a chance against the Aggies.
Auburn at Vanderbilt (-6.5) | The Tigers are still dealing with the fallout of firing their head coach, and I think that distraction is going to be too much for a road game against the Commodores.
