After playing in all thirteen games as a freshman in 2014, Parker became a starter in 2015 where he recorded 60 tackles, a fumble recovery, and four pass breakups. A bit of a “floater” on defense, Parker started eight games at strong safety, three at free safety, and two at nickelback last fall.
A product of Jenks High School (Oklahoma), Parker was a four-star recruit by both Rivals and 247Sports. He was a two-way player in high school (receiver & defensive back), but excelled on the defensive side where he was a Top 10 safety prospect. Parker turned down offers from Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas and Texas A&M to stay home and play for the Sooners.
