Marquise Brown Drafted By Baltimore Ravens

You could say that former Oklahoma receiver Marquise Brown had the luxury of catching passes from back-to-back Heisman winning quarterbacks Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. You could also say that back-to-back Heisman winners Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray had the luxury of throwing the ball to Marquise Brown.

Now he’ll be catching passes from another Heisman winner in Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Ravens selected Hollywood with the twenty-fifth overall pick in the first round of the 2019 draft. He’ll be reunited with former teammates Orlando Brown and Mark Andrews.

The kid who was too skinny coming out of high school to earn and legitimate FBS scholarship offers worked his way to the pinnacle of college football by coming out of the junior college ranks.

Once he arrived on campus in Norman he became one of the nation’s most explosive players, racking up 2,413 yards and 17 touchdowns in just two seasons.

Brown ultimately earned first-team All-Big 12 and first-team All-American status, from the Associated Press, by catching 75 passes for 1,318 yards, averaging a hardy 17.6 yards per reception, and 10 touchdowns last season as a junior.
