Oklahoma State Football | Cowboys Get Ambushed In West Texas

A week after Oklahoma State scored a big home win against previously unbeaten Kansas State the Pokes were back on the road for the fourth time in six weeks. Texas Tech was coming off a harsh 55-16 loss at the hands of Oklahoma, setting up the narrative that the Cowboys were at least two scores better as a road opponent.

That wasn’t the case at all though as the Red Raiders put the Cowboys in an early 20-0 hole and holding on for a 45-35 win. Defensively Tech frustrated OSU quarterback Spencer Sanders by sacking him seven times and forcing him into four turnovers (3 INTs/1 fumble).

Texas Tech backup quarterback Jett Duffey completed 26-of-44 passes for 424 yards against the Cowboy defense. As a team the Red Raiders rushed for 162 yards, and another score, on their way to the highest point total given up by Oklahoma State this season.
