Why the Thunder Will Cover (-3.5)
The Pacers are on a 4-game losing streak, and they don’t exactly have the best chances to make the playoffs. On the other hand, they could improve their odds in the draft lottery by losing a few more games. Lastly, Indiana is missing several key players due to injury. Put all of that together, and it’s hard for me to think that the Thunder cannot pull out a win. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is active tonight, and OKC definitely has what it takes to get win, regardless of how they have played lately.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (237)
If Shai plays, I could see this one being a high-scoring game, but if he’s out again, I don’t see it getting up that high. The Thunder knows they need this win to improve their odds of making the play-in, so the defense should be a little more on point than it was on Tuesday. I’m expecting something closer to Wednesday’s game against the Pistons in terms of total points score, so I’m taking the under with a reasonable amount of confidence.
