Series History

The Thunder went 1-2 against the Lakers last season (1-1 at home, 0-1 on the road).

Why the Thunder Will Cover (-5.5)

Since winning 6 games in a row, OKC has now lost two straight. Both losses were close ones against good teams, so the Thunder is still playing really well, and I expect they will continue to do so tonight and get back on the winning track. The Lakers, on the other hand, have been very up and down, and after suffering the worst loss of Lebron James’s career on Monday—a 138-94 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers—LA beat up on the Pistons in Detroit last night. Considering the Lakers are playing in the second game of a back-to-back AND this is the fourth consecutive road game for them in the last 6 days.

Why the Game Will Hit the Over (233)

OKC played in a defensive battle with Minnesota on Tuesday night, and I expect quite the opposite tonight against the Lakers. Los Angeles isn’t nearly as capable as the Timberwolves on the defensive end, so I could see this one going well over the point total.
