Series History

The Thunder are 1-0 against the Spurs so far this season (1-0 at home, 0-0 on the road).

Why the Thunder Will Cover (-9.5)

The line has moved heavily in OKC’s favor since opening up at 6.5, and that is likely due to the fact that Victory Wembanyama (right knee contusion) is out. Without Wemby, the Spurs lose a considerable talent on both ends of the floor, and the Thunder don’t have to worry so much about their lack of a big man. Still, OKC is going to need to do a better job at the point of attack on defense and limit the Spurs from putting up easy shots. The Thunder is a much deeper squad, and even without a true big man, they should be able to win comfortably in San Antonio.

Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (222.5)

In the first meeting between the Thunder and the Spurs, the score total was only 198 points. Both teams are missing their best defensive player, but I still think OKC will get back to their defensive roots after allowing a scoring splurge from the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. Alex Caruso is back in action for the Thunder, so he’ll definitely help on the defensive end. As a result, this one will be a little lower in point total, so I’m taking the under.
