Series History

OKC went 4-0 against Utah last season (2-0 at home, 2-0 on the road) and has won 10 of the last 11 meetings with the Jazz, including 4 of the last 5 at the Delta Center.

Why the Thunder Will Cover (-16.5)

OKC has struggled to cover these giant spreads lately. Not every game can be a blowout, and when your starters aren’t even seeing the floor in the fourth quarter, it’s even less likely to happen. Still, I think the Thunder can blow out the Jazz tonight. Utah’s defense is towards the bottom of the league, plus they turn the ball over at a high rate. That’s a recipe for success for OKC, and if the Thunder can shoot even remotely close to their season average from 3-point land, then winning by 20+ is definitely possible.

Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (235.5)

This is just too many points for me, considering how good OKC’s defense has been so far this season. Utah has a solid offense, but Lauri Markkanen—Utah’s leading scorer—did not fare well against the Thunder last season in his 3 games played against OKC, and I think he will struggle again tonight. I’m taking the under on this one.
