Iowa State (-7) vs. San Joe State: The Cyclones are bad, but San Jose State is even worse. Iowa State’s three losses have at least been to some pretty good teams. Meanwhile, the Spartans lone win came against FCS foe Portland State. ISU will pick up maybe their only win of the season and cover the spread in the process.
West Virginia (-7) vs. BYU: Dana Holgorsen’s Mountaineers have quietly won two games while the Big 12 has not played well at all. BYU has played fairly well so far, but West Virginia will cover the spread and then some.
Oklahoma State (+8.5) @ Baylor: As a Cowboy fan, I absolutely hate picking my own team, because it almost certainly spells certain doom. Oklahoma State has not looked good at times this season, but the offense did some good things last week, and a shootout in Waco could be just what the Cowboys need to play a close one and even pick up a W.
Donnie
Baylor (-8.5) vs. Oklahoma State. This one seems too easy and considering my track record so far I will probably once again come up on the wrong side of things, but I don’t see anyway that Baylor doesn’t cover this line.
Iowa State (-7) vs. San Jose State. I really don’t know where to go with this one, but I guess I’ll take Iowa State.
TCU (-20) at SMU. TCU covers with a late score in garbage time.

SMU (+20) at TCU
The Horned Frogs have struggled defensively through the first three games. I think TCU gets the win, but the SMU offense and lack of TCU defense keeps it close.
West Virginia (-7) vs. BYU
West Virginia has looked pretty decent in the first three games of the season. I think they will win by two touchdowns Saturday. BYU doesn’t have the offense to keep up with the Mountaineers.
Baylor (-8.5) vs. Oklahoma State
Baylor has looked solid on defense thus far and their offense is humming along. I think the Cowboys struggle defensively Saturday giving Baylor the win by two scores.

SMU (+20) at TCU
I’m pretty confident that the Frogs are going to win this game but a week out from conference play and a terrible defense tell me they won’t win by 20 or more.
San Jose State (+7) at Iowa State
What happens when two terrible football teams play each other? Someone wins by less than a touchdown.
Oklahoma State (+8.5) at Baylor
The Big 12 game of the week should pay off in entertainment value. The Cowboys are going to have to run the ball for a chance to win and while they aren’t great at it, the Bears also aren’t great at defending the run. Cowboys cover but the Bears win close.
