The Oklahoma Sooners are continuing a slow but steady climb back up the polls after starting the season 1-2. On Saturday the Sooners beat Kansas State 38-17 to record their third consecutive win in a row. Consequently, OU moved up three spots in the AP Poll, and four spots in the Coaches to #16.

The Baylor Bears have cracked the Top 10, and remain the highest ranked team in the Big 12, at #9 but it was the West Virginia Mountaineers who took a gigantic leap this week, moving up eight spots to #12 in the AP.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys would be #28 if the poll extended out that far.
