As one of three seniors listed along the defensive line on the Oklahoma Sooners official roster to begin the season, Matt Dimon is now parting ways with the game of football. The starter suffered an achilles injury against Ohio State on September 17th of this year. Unfortunately, it appears as though it’s a career ending injury confirmed by Bob Stoops with the Dallas Morning News.
“It’s multiple issues,” he said. “The injury has led to some other things and, at the end of the day, it’s just not working any more.”
If one needed more reason to buy into the statement, Dimon has been removed from the Sooner Sports Roster as well.
Hoping for some good news, Charles Walker met with trainers to determine his status for Saturday’s game on the road against West Virginia. While it’s unlikely at this point, Walker could provide a boost to the defensive line assuming he becomes available.
