The latest College Football Playoff rankings are out and while the Sooners and Cowboys are still long shots to make it in, they’re also not mathematically eliminated either. Oklahoma checks in at #9 this week and Oklahoma State at #11. The Sooners are on the road, in Morgantown, to face West Virginia (#14) in the playoff rankings, while the Cowboys are in Ft. Worth against TCU. Should both teams win out, it could possibly make the 2016 Bedlam game, in Norman, epic.
The Sooners are currently riding a 7-game winning streak and are 7-0 in Big 12 conference play, while the Cowboys are 6-1 in conference play and on a 6-game winning streak. Each season seems to put more on the line for the two in-state rivals, with the Bedlam game determining the Big 12 champion in 2015. Both schools seem to be on track to see that happen again in 2017, with the outside shot at a playoff berth on the line as well.
