There is nothing really good that can be said about this game. The Sooners struggled mightily and ended up losing 61-50 (It was much much worse than the score indicated). The Sooners could never really accomplish anything and it showed tonight.
When you turn the ball over 23 times and shoot 33.3% from the field, its hard to take away anything positive from a game. Further, senior guard Jordan Woodard struggled yet again finishing with just 6 points on 2-11 from the floor and turned the ball over 6 times. I know he is not himself right now, but the mistakes he made tonight were inexcusable for a senior with his experience. It seems like he has maybe just checked out.
The only real bright side for this game is that the Sooners are young. They have a lot of young talent in Doolittle, McGusty, and Odomes. Lon Kruger has proven that he can develop talent into a team.
This loss was the Sooners 6th straight and the scary thing is I don’t see another guarantee winnable game left on a schedule that has them going to Iowa State, Baylor, Oklahoma State, and Kansas. It will likely get much worse before it gets better.
