Two Oklahoma State Cowboys Receive Invites To 2017 NFL Combine

The NFL Combine is quickly approaching as invitees attempt to make one final impression in front of NFL decision makers. While the Big 12 is sending a mere 18 prospects to the 2017 Combine, two Oklahoma State Cowboys are joining the field of 332. Who will improve their draft stock and who will dismiss themselves from the first two rounds based on tangibles?

Foregoing a senior season, Vincent Taylor declared for the NFL Draft via twitter days after being named the MVP of the Alamo Bowl. As a junior, the defensive tackle recorded 51 total tackles alongside 13 tackles for loss and seven sacks. However, Taylor quickly gained recognition for the number of blocked kicks he tallied up throughout the year. This kid is certainly leaving a large void in the defensive front that the Cowboys must look to fill. As it stands currently, Taylor is said to be a sleeper pick by the likes of WalterFootball.com.

Join his teammate, Ashton Lampkin will also be making a trip to Lucas Oil Stadium. While the corner may not have the flashiest of stats, there’s likely good reason. NFL Draft guru Todd McShay describes Lampkin as “A confident player who flashes ability to hold up on an island.” At 5-11, DraftBlaster projects the cornerback to be taken in the 4-6 round.
