After Darrion Strong-Moore announced his intentions to transfer from the University of Oklahoma, Lon Kruger and his staff began searching to fill the void. With an open roster spot and a scholarship available, it appears as though the transfer market marks the starting line. Over the weekend, the Sooners plan to host Egor Koulechov from Rice.
Rice transfer Egor Koulechov is visiting Oklahoma this weekend, per a source. Averaged 18.2 points and 8.9 rebounds a game last season.

Averaging 18.2 points per game and 8.9 rebounds, the 6-5 guard earned two weekly C-USA Player of the Week honors. However, Koulechov’s body of work throughout the 2016-17 season was awarded with a Conference First Team dubbing. Clearly possessing the skills on the court, this transfer could make an immediate impact.
Eligible to start immediately, the Russian born player has international experience while representing Israel — the country Koulechov grew up in. Could he be the missing piece that Oklahoma is looking for moving forward?
