Redshirting as a true freshman, Buford stepped in and contributed during his second season on campus. Playing in 36 games as a RS-Freshman, the forward shot 32.5% from beyond the arc. Upping those numbers as a RS-Sophomore, Buford connected on 37.5% of his attempts from range in 23 games. Scoring an average of 3.6 points per game, the production can be replaced.
The reality of the situation remains that the Sooners are set to host a graduate transfer this weekend. A graduate transfer gains immediate eligibility and Egor Koulechov is no exception. Playing the guard as well as forward position, could his presence pose a threat to Buford whose playing time was already limited?
