Oklahoma State Eliminated From NCAA Tournament With 14-6 Loss To ORU

After a miraculous run through the Bedlam Series and the Big 12 Tournament, Oklahoma State saw its baseball season come to an end on Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Cowboys never led in the game and trailed 7-0 before before plating their first run in the top of the fourth inning.

Oral Roberts continued their onslaught of runs by scoring three in the bottom half of the fourth, three more in the sixth and one last run in the eighth in route to a 14-6 victory. The result marked the first time OSU went winless in an NCAA Regional since the 2011 Nashville Regional (lost to Troy and Belmont), and just the third time in forty-three NCAA Tournament appearances the Cowboys have failed to win a tourney game.

Michael Hungate paced Oral Roberts from the plate with a 4-for-4, five-RBI performance. In his final game as a Cowboy, Ryan Sluder led the team by going 2-for-4 with two doubles and a pair of RBIs.
