In 2012, the Oklahoma Sooners brought in a running back from the JUCO All-American ranked named Damien Williams. Bursting onto the scene, the back quickly took over as the number one option. Carrying the ball 176 times, Williams fell just short of the century mark at 946 total rushing yards. Though Oklahoma has witnessed many great back come through Norman, Williams home debut remains one of the best in Sooner history.

One of the most memorable plays of the young career came against Florida A&M. Taking the handoff deep in OU territory, Williams found some space to run in. Turning on the jets, the back recorded an 89-yard touchdown run untouched.

Showcasing the ability to run between the tackles, to run in traffic, and to rush outside Williams put on a show against Florida A&M. In front of a home crowd for the first time in an OU uniform, the back rushed for 156 yards and four touchdowns. The number put him at 260 total yards through two weeks on 19 carries.
