2019 Oklahoma Commit Spencer Rattler Debuts As Top QB Prospect On ESPN Top 300

AWith Oklahoma’s 2018 recruiting still on the upswing, the Sooners got a little boost to their 2019 class on Monday when ESPN released their Top 300 for 2019. Oklahoma commit Spencer Rattler debuts as #17 on the list and the overall top quarterback.

A 6-1/175 4-star prospect from Pinnacle High School (Phoenix, AZ), Rattler made a commitment to play for the Sooners on June 27th. The dual-threat quarterback has received offers from around the country (15 to be exact) after only two years of high school football. After receiving offers from Colorado, Alabama, Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Texas during the spring, Rattler chose Oklahoma following an unofficial visit to Norman on June 19th.

Lincoln Riley had offered Rattler when the quarterback was just 15 years old and that solidified Oklahoma as a place that drew a lot of interest from the rising star. His visit to Norman sealed the deal and a week later the junior-to-be was the key piece in the Sooners’ 2019 class that currently is ranked 10th nationally, by 247Sports, with just three commits so far.

Earlier this month Rattler joined fellow 2019 Oklahoma commit Austin Stogner (TE/Plano, TX) as a selection for the 2019 Under Armour All American Game.
