Oklahoma Sooners Release Full Depth Chart

We are just days away from the Oklahoma Sooners taking the field for the first time in nearly nine months. Knowing fans were hoping to get a glimpse of the depth chart, the football program tweeted a blank sheet of paper earlier this week. Fast forward to Wednesday morning and we now have an official depth chart — complete with names this go around.

While most of the battles were settled, the cornerback position opposite of Jordan Thomas remained a mystery. I fully expected Jordan Parker to earn the starting role with Parnell Motley coming in with an “and/or” statement next to his name. However, it appears as thought the work Motley put in during the spring and summer paid off. The sophomore will trot out as a first time starter in the season opener against UTEP.

There may not be many surprises on the offensive side of the ball. Yet, freshman CeeDee Lamb will start over Jordan Smallwood and Jeff Badet remains behind Jeffrey Mead on the depth chart. In total, the Sooners are starting two true freshmen — one of the defensive side of the ball and one on the offensive side.
