Two Sooners Sidelined Early Against Iowa State

To start the game, the Oklahoma Sooners offense hummed. Showcasing the reason this unit has been labeled as one of the most explosive in the country, OU scores on the first two drives of the game. Up 14-0 and in complete control of the contest, the unthinkable occurred.

Carrying the No. 3 ranking, the Sooners offense relies heavily on a crop of first year starters and true freshman. As Abdul Adams earned the start, he quickly racked up the yards. However, it appeared as though the talented running back suffered an ankle injury. Sitting on the sideline with ice on his foot, Adams status is unknown at this point in time.

He’s joined by freshman phenom Ceedee Lamb. Catch long the ball in the flats, the receiver turned up field. Shedding a defender, Lamb made a second effort to get into the end zone. Standing up, it was clear the true freshman was in pain. Holding his shoulder, Lamb made his way to the sideline. Again, the status of the receiver is unclear.
