Oklahoma Sooners Football | Injury Report 10.9.17

The Oklahoma Sooners are coming off an upset loss to the Iowa State Cyclones. However, the football season continues to rage on. Looking ahead, Lincoln Riley answered questions from the media on Monday afternoon. Addressing the injury situation, a vague answer was received.

On Saturday, Abdul Adams found himself on the sideline icing an ankle injury. Later that same day, the sophomore running back returned to the bench wearing a boot. Hoping to hear a bit of good news before the Red River Rivalry, the status of Adams ankle remains a question mark.

”We can’t rule anybody 100% out,” stated Coach Riley. Obviously that pertains to more than just the running back. It’s also a comment on the status of freshman phenom Ceedee Lamb. Diving for the end zone, the receiver came up holding his shoulder. Indicating something was wrong, Lamb was not seen again.

While this list is not exhaustive, it’s clear that nothing was going to be divulged.

Of course, all of this could simply be “coach speak.” The idea of giving the Texas Longhorns information is inexcusable. Needless to say, Tom Herman must have his program ready for each and every scenario in this situation.
