The Oklahoma Sooners introduced their newest addition to the program on Wednesday afternoon. Signing Jamal Bieniemy to a national letter of intent, the four-star recruit joins a list of others hailing from the Houston area during the Lon Kruger era. Currently, the Katy, TX product is listed as a top twenty-five shooting guard by ESPN as well as 247Sports.
Needless to say, Bieniemy fits the mold of what Coach Kruger preaches to his players — a team first mentality. However, the combo guard provides versatility on the offensive side of the floor. Possessing the ability to create for himself with speed and athleticism or step outside and knock down a shot, the 6-5 guard has an impressive set of skills. Most of the time, offensive players lack the desire to play defense though. This is not the case with Bieniemy.
Bringing in a top twenty-five class in 2017, Kruger and his staff are off to another great start with the addition of Bieniemy for 2018.
