Orlando Brown Named Finalist For Outland Trophy

The three finalists for the Outland Trophy were named on Monday and Oklahoma left tackle Orlando Brown is among them. The Outland Trophy is awarded to the nation’s best lineman, either on offense or defense.

Joining Brown are Notre Dame’s Quenton Nelson and Houston’s Ed Oliver. Nelson is a 6-5/325 guard who has a chance to be the top-rated guard in the 2018 NFL Draft. Oliver is just a sophomore but he’s had a major impact on the field for the Cougars. Through ten games this season he’s registered 55 total tackles.

Brown has been the anchor for Oklahoma’s offensive line for the better part of the last three seasons. This year he’s helped elevate the Sooners to having the top offensive line in the country, resulting in 588.7 yards per game and 8.3 yards per play.

Projected to be one of the top offensive tackles in the 2018 NFL Draft, Orlando Brown is expected to be a Top 10 pick.
