The Oklahoma Sooners continue to ride the momentum after upsetting Wichita State earlier in the year. Collecting 10 wins through the non-conference portion of the schedule, Lon Kruger’s squad surged up the rankings. Climbing five spots this week, OU now sits at No. 12 in the most recent AP Poll.
The release of the rankings makes the first conference game quite interesting. At this current point in time, the No. 10 TCU Horned Frogs remain one of three unbeaten programs. Riding the schools longest win streak, they’ll put it all on the line as the Sooners come to town.
However, four other schools from the Big 12 join these two inside the AP Top Twenty-Five. With 60% of the conference represented, the Big 12 is making a case as the toughest league in the country. It will be interesting to see how each of these teams fair when the season comes to a close.
The goal is always a national championship, but one stepping stone is the conference title. Who will be crowned victorious at the end? Let the games begin!
