This weekend, Lincoln Riley enters the annual Oklahoma Sooners’ Spring Game for the first time while holding the title of Head Coach. Looking ahead to the early signing period, the coaching staff is hoping to make an impression with recruits on official visits. Slated to host 18 different recruits from across the country, the stakes remain high.
According to 247Sports, Jadon Haselwood, the No. 2 overall prospect will be in Norman for the Spring Game. Currently the receiver is committed to play for the Georgia Bulldogs but holds ties to Norman, Oklahoma. Although the five-star product has given a verbal, Haselwood said, “the door is not fully shut for any school.” Keeping his options open, the receiver specifically mentioned interest in Miami, Auburn, Tennessee, as well as Oklahoma.
While Haselwood may be the biggest target, he’s joined by other top receivers in the class in making the journey to Norman. Former Sooner commits Theo Wease and Arjei Henderson continue to show an interest in Oklahoma and will be in attendance this weekend.
We’ll keep you updated on any recruiting news coming from the weekend as the story unfolds. Until then, Boomer Sooner!
