Oklahoma Sooners MBB | Grad Transfer Point Guard Joins Program

The Oklahoma Sooners have experienced quite a bit of attrition following the close of the NCAA Tournament. Looking to fill those vacancies, Lon Kruger and the rest of the staff began to scour the country for potential candidates. In doing so, Aaron Calixte’s name surfaced.

Fast forward to today as, the guard officially announced the final destination. “First off I would like to thank god for putting me in the position I am in today. Without him none of it would be possible. With that being said, I am excited to announce my commitment to Coach Lon Kruger & his staff at the University of Oklahoma!” Bolstering the experience level, Calixte potentially provides stability for a program with a shaky future.

Transferring in from Maine, Calixte played long minutes, scoring 17 points per game. At 5-11, one might expect the guard to lean toward the natural point guard position. However, Calixte scores with frequency and favors a two guard role.
